is a very important site in German history. After much renovation this former Head Quarters of the German Parliament is now home to the Bundestag (the lower Parliament). The Reichstag was completed in 1894 and has been considered a very prominent building in German politics ever since. In 1918 the German Republic was announced from the balcony of this impressive landmark.

In 1938 Hitler moved it from its place in front of the Reichstag to the centre of Tiergarten where it stands today.
