AM arrival to Pisa, famous for the Piazza dei Miracoli, (Place of Miracles). Entire religious complex of Cathedral, Baptistery, Bell Tower (also known as the leaning tower) and Graveyard was listed as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1987 and is considered one of the most important examples of medieval architecture.


This afternoon we continue to Florence where a city walking tour will reveal it's most famous attractions such as the 14th century Palazzo Vecchio a fortress-shaped town hall, located on the Piazza della Signoria square. The piazza is focal point of the origin and of the history of the Florentine Republic and still maintains its reputation as the political hub of the city. There will also be the world's largest renaissance art collection of the Uffizzi, the Ponte Vecchio and more. Florence is famous for it Italian Leather and Gold and there will opportunities to satisfy your temptations before continuing to Rome.

Venice - Home

Morning arrival to Venice, board the water bus to Spectacular Piazza San Marco for an orientation tour of city center. Half a day visit of Venice - during the magical time of the year it provides a fantastic opportunity to walk down alleyways alongside canals, observe and feel transported back to a golden age. Arrangements can be made for a serenaded and charming gondola ride that provides a very special view of the city and make up for a perfect coronation to our Christmas Getaway (not included).


The homeward journey is leading us through Switzerland and we will arrive at points of origin late night-early morning!
Christmas Day Blessing
Seeing the Pope bless pilgrims from the central balcony of St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican every Dec. 25 during his Christmas Day blessing, "Urbi et orbi," is a matchless experience.

A guided tour to the most popular places in Italy is a trip you wouldn't want to miss out on. Starting with an archaeological excavation in Pompeii, then to the coastal village of Sorrento, from which we embark for Capri. There you will have your own time to savor a leisurely walk through the Gardens of Augustus and enjoy an exclusive day in Capri.

Assisi
The city influenced both diversity in religions and Europe's art history. It is the intertwining of these two features that make this medieval town a vital landmark. Assisi is a charming town, is full of enchanting corners and small shops offering local wares. There are also many restaurants and cafes, which offer delicious meals and snacks.

Venice (1/2 day)
Known as the 'City of Canals' built over 118 islands, Venice and its lagoon is one of the most unique cities in the world. Its beautiful bridges, gondola rides, atmospheric streets, and carnival celebrations are indeed an enchanting experience.

Sorrento
Sorrento is worth a stop for its laid-back holiday air, beaches, and old streets lined by noble houses. Also famous for its lemons and limoncello, and possibly even the words of the song "Come back to Sorrento" together with "O sole Mio" is perfect for a day of relaxing. The heart of the town is busy Piazza Tasso, surrounded by little streets where you'll find shopping and places to eat.

Rome
Rome, also known as the Eternal City, is home to some of the world's most historical monuments, art, and architecture. Here you will encounter ancient monuments, medieval and Renaissance buildings and fountains, and great museums. It is the capital of modern Italy and features many fine restaurants and cafes, nightlife, lively streets, and squares. Rome offers attractions for any taste and allows one to enjoy its life by just strolling through the streets.

Nativity Scenes
One of the most important ways of celebrating Christmas in Italy is the Nativity crib scene. Across the city, from life-size tableaux on the Spanish Steps, and before St. Peter's to countless crèches in church chapels, are all populated by papier-mâché or terracotta figurines. Most of them are located at a pizza parlor tucked between the shops of the Bethlehem backdrop.

Apa Cameo factory
In 1848, Giovanni Apa, supreme Master goldsmith, founded his studio in Torre del Greco, a town on the Gulf of Naples. It is now known as a worldwide center of excellence of coral works. This firm has sustained traditions by highly trained artisans working on their beautiful and classical designs for over a century.

Bay of Naples
The Bay of Naples has an excellent climate, a spectacular sea, and magnificent cities constructed centuries ago by the ancient civilizations who passed through the gulf, leaving traces of their art and architecture behind them. Capri Island
The Island of Capri is one of the most picturesque and visited locations in Italy. Rustic villas, lemon groves, and charming parks make Capri one of Italy's most beautiful destinations.
