The perfume museum, which opened in 1983, occupies a very lovely Napoleon III town house built in 1860 by Lesoufaché, a student of Garnier. The decoration is entirely of that period. Here you can discover a wonderful collection of perfumery objects that take you travelling through the ages.
Painters Square at Montmartre
Montmartre is well known as the last village in Paris. The place de Tertre, a few streets away from the Sacré-Coeur Catholic basilica, is in the heart of Montmartre. The Painters Square is a reminder of the time when Montmartre was the Mecca of modern art.
Paris Evening Outing
Paris is fabulous by day but unforgettable by night. Don't miss the chance to take an after-dinner Paris by Night Illuminations Tour. The evening starts with a typical French dinner at the Painter’s Square of Montmartre. You'll tour all the illuminated Paris sights, monuments and squares en route to Seine River Cruise where a commented 1 hour cruise on a convertible boat illuminating the river banks will crown the day. € 43
Paris Flea Market
The most famous flea market in Paris is the one at Porte de Clignancourt, officially called Les Puces de Saint-Ouen, but known to everyone as Les Puces (The Fleas). It covers seven hectares and is the largest antique market in the world, receiving between 120,000 to 180,000 visitors each weekend.
The Palace of Versailles
The Palace of Versailles began as a modest hunting lodge. Well, as modest a lodge as one could expect from a French King. Then Louis XIV enlarged and enrobed the old lodge, turning it into the great Chateau we know today. Visit the place where of world war I was ended by signing of the Treaty of Versailles € 35
Montmartre
Montmartre is well known as the last village in Paris. Cobbled streets of one of the most historic and interesting neighborhoods in Paris, streets lead to Basilica of Sacre-Coeur on the top of the hill. Place du Tertre - the Painters Square a few street a way is a reminder of the time when Montmartre was the Mecca of modern art. At the beginning of the 20th century, many penniless painters including Picasso and Utrillo were living there.
Notre Dame Cathedral
No first trip to Paris is complete without a visit to this marvel of gothic architecture. One of the most singular and beautiful cathedrals of Europe, Notre Dame Cathedral's dramatic towers, spire, stained glass and statuary are guaranteed to take your breath away.
The Sorbonne and the Latin Quarter
The Sorbonne University is the historic soul of the Latin Quarter, where higher learning has flourished for centuries. Founded in 1257 for a small group of theology students, the Sorbonne is one of Europe's oldest universities. It has hosted countless great thinkers, including philosophers René Descartes, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Simone de Beauvoir. Enjoy a drink on the café terrace in front of the college before exploring the winding little streets of the Latin Quarter behind it.
Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Elysées
The 164-foot Arc de Triomphe commissioned by Emperor Napoléon I does exactly what it was made to do: evoke sheer military power and triumph. It was built in an age when leaders erected monuments in their own honor, and scaled to their egos. The arch's beautiful sculptures and reliefs commemorate Napoléon's generals and soldiers. Visit the Arc de Triomphe to begin or culminate a walk down the equally grandiose Avenue des Champs-Elysées. You can't help but feel grand yourself.
Boat Tour of the Seine River
Seeing some of Paris' most beautiful sites glide past as you drift down the Seine river is an unforgettable and essential experience. At night enjoy the shimmering play of light on the Seine and stunning architecture illuminated with great care. € 13
